Short Answer
For Chapter 6, stop rotating between half-tested builds. Pick one stance plan, one spell timing, one Spirit window, and one transformation rule before entering the final sequence. The late-game build succeeds when you can reach the hard phase with resources assigned, not when every slot is tuned for theoretical damage.
Target Player State
Use this setup once Mount Huaguo is open and you are preparing for armor-piece bosses, Stone Monkey, and The Great Sage’s Broken Shell. It assumes you have broad access to spells, Spirits, transformations, and upgraded gear, but still need a plan that survives long combo pressure.
Build Path
- Stance: choose the stance that lands Focus under pressure; do not switch constantly.
- Spells: keep one control or reset tool for the phase that kills you.
- Spirit: equip a Spirit that lands quickly after a real opening.
- Transformation: choose burst if you can land it, survival if you need phase learning.
- Gear: use your best upgraded armor unless a specific resistance problem justifies a swap.
- Medicines: spend them on serious attempts; there is no reason to hoard everything past the final check.
If The Great Sage’s Broken Shell is the wall, value stamina and recovery over tiny damage gains. Long combos punish every greedy extra hit.
Rotation
Open with normal staff discipline. Dodge, land short confirms, and build Focus without spending every resource. Save your main spell for the phase or combo that has ended previous attempts.
When you get a clean control window, convert it in a fixed order: short staff damage, Spirit or heavy cashout, then reset. If transformation is part of the plan, enter it before the attempt becomes chaotic. Build its Focus, spend the full-value attack when the boss is actually punishable, and de-transform if staying in form would waste the remaining meter.
Boss Matchups
Armor-piece bosses in Chapter 6 test whether your build can handle different movement patterns without complete rebuilds. Keep the same core plan and swap only the problem slot: resistance, stance reach, or Spirit timing.
Stone Monkey is your resource discipline check before the later form. Do not spend everything just because the opening exists.
The Great Sage’s Broken Shell is a combo and spell-awareness fight. Respect long strings, jump attacks, and the late-phase pressure. If your burst plan requires the boss to stand still longer than it actually does, simplify.
When To Swap Away
Swap away if the current plan cannot name its saved resource. If you are dying to one repeat combo, move from damage to reset or counter timing. If you are reaching late phases with too much unused mana, add a spell-burst window. If transformation keeps expiring before value, choose a faster Spirit and use transformation only for learning.
Recovery Plan
After each death, record the phase and the resource you still had. Dying with all tools unused means the plan is too vague. Dying after spending everything in phase one means the plan is too front-loaded. Adjust the timing, not the whole build, until the final phase gets a dedicated answer.
